The trick to a wonderful smokey eye is simple. Line first. Lightly smudge. Line again a bit thicker this time. Smudge a little more. Line again. Apply false lashes or mascarra. DONE!

Smokey eye’s should not be hard, if you practice it can become something you wear everyday.

Pay attention to where the darker and lighter shadows are applied and how she goes back and highlights it all with a white and then lines with a black. The contrast of colors can make anything appear different but it’s where you apply these highlights and low lights that make all the difference.

I LOVE LOVE LOVE THIS EYE MAKE UP!

It’s the classic cat eye perfected with flashy gold lines higlighting booth the inner and outer corners. By doing this it almost makes her eye look as if it has a side ways s shape. Brilliant!

I live for color and creativity. Even in my darkest days I crave artistry. This is some of my photography and editing that was inspired by my passion for make up.

Look familiar? That’s because this is one of Christina Aguilera’s most common make up looks.

First you apply The lighter shade (in this case, silver shadow) on the inside corners.

Next you apply false lashes, line your eyes and apply heavy mascara to your bottom lashes. Kind of stick them together to create single thick lashes.

Now apply the darker shade (in this case black) from the outdie corner of the eye and up slightly thtough the craese.

Finally use an eye blending bruch to blend the darker shade through the crease and slightly under outside corner of the eyes.

Now you are done! I am recommending a pair of false lashes and some liquid liner. But for the shadow you can use any combination of colors just pay attention to your lighter and darker shades and where you apply them. I will also recommend my favorite line of eye shadow for you as well. Have fun.

For the false eye lash I recommend Sara, the Swooped Black False Lash By Make Up Forever.

A great liner for this is the Waterproof Clay Liner By Tarte.

Quick Tip: Wait for the first two coats of lacquer to dry COMPLETELY before putting the glitter coat. If you don’t the pieces of glitter will sink into the polish and not only make it extra hard to take off but also looks messy.

Apply: Shoe Addict Magic Dust Eye Shadow By Lime Crime on your eye lids.

At last, Very carefully paint the lines you see here using Smash Box Jet Set Water Proof Eye Liner in Midnight Black & a Bobbi Brown Ultra Fine Liner Brush. 

Also, look closely at the lining. The line is different widths in certain places. You can’t just draw a line, you have to layer several smaller lines. Take your time and be patient. Good Luck!

Quick Tip: A lot of girls have a problem wearing bright colors because they don’t line there lips. You need to line your lips with a lip liner in a shade that is slightly darker to make your lips pop and look fuller. This can be pulled off if you get the right colors. I am attaching a link for a pink similar to the one worn by these stunning ladies as well as a link for the matching lip liner.

I have really been obsessed with highlighting and shadowing lately. I am discovering that the better you highlight and shadow, the better the make up overall! Take these lips for example. Do you notice how they have little lines of white on top of the cupids bow? and then a hint of shimmer in the center fading out on the bottom lip?? Highlighting creates the illusion of perfect lighting where ever you go at all times. So think about it, even if you don’t wear vibrant colors such as these, highlighting your clean lip or chap stick can make the biggest difference without wearing tons of make up.! This goes for highlighting and shadowing your cheek bones and eyes too but that’s for another post! Stay tuned!
